Presentation of results of the Center for Land Reform Policy in Ukraine "Issuance of the Manual for the Deputies of City Councils of Ukraine" took place at ULRMC's office.
The common event of the Center for Land Reform Policy in Ukraine and the International Association "Ukrainian Land and Resource Management Center" took place at the conference-hall of the International Association "Ukrainian Land and Resource Management Center" under financial support of the International Renaissance Foundation. The presented manual focuses on certain legal problems of urban land management in Ukraine, in particular, communal property lands structure, specifics of urban lands legal status, forms of land resources management in settlements, subjects of land ownership and use, as well as other legal aspects of local self-governance bodies activities in the area of land relations.
At the presentation, the participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with results of ULRMC's experience in successful applying remote sensing and geographic information systems for land resources management objectives. ULRMC's Remote Sensing and GIS Senior Specialist, Oleksandr Petrochenko, provided examples of using the acquired experience under several projects, in particular, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Land Titling Initiative (ULTI) in researching environmental status of Kyiv and generating the Interactive Map on Land Resources of Ukraine.
The participants included representatives of mass media, legal companies, international foundations, and public institutions.
